POSTPONED! LINXS event - Mini-symposium: “Synchrotron X-ray tomography - potential in imaging biological tissue in diabetes complications”

TBS_diabetes.png

Did you know that synchrotron light could reveal high-resolution structural secrets in paraffin embedded biological tissue or biopsies without sample destruction?

Originally developed as a tool for physicists studying atomic structure, synchrotrons are increasingly being used by biologists around the globe.

Powerful Synchrotrons allow researchers a deep look into biological tissues, like pancreas, kidney, liver, nerves etc. Traveling at nearly the speed of light, electrons emit intense synchrotron radiation revealing hidden structures and other features of biological specimens with great penetration depth.

Do you want to shed synchrotron light on your research question?

Date: April 22, 2020, 14:30-16:00 + get-together
Venue: BMC I1345, Sölvegatan 19, Lund

The symposium is free of charge, yet participation requires registration (button above)

Please feel free to forward this information to anyone you think could be interested. We are looking forward to meeting you on the 22nd!
