LINXS Young Researchers' Symposium on Hard Condensed Matter – X-ray and Neutron techniques

Welcome to the LINXS Young Researchers’ Symposium on Hard Condensed Matter – X-ray and Neutron techniques

When: 1–2 November 2023, 09:30 - 17:00 CET including lunch and mingle.

1 November: Visit to MAX IV for those who are interested.

2 November: Symposium at LINXS

Registration deadline: 27 October or when full. After that date we cannot guarantee lunch. The event is free of charge, but no-shows will be charged a fee of 200 SEK.

Where: at LINXS (Scheelevägen 19, Lund), Workshop room on the 5th floor.

Description

The Young Researchers' Symposium on X-ray and Neutron Science in Hard Matter, organized in cooperation with LINXS, is designed for early-stage scientists to present their research, exchange ideas, and build professional networks with fellow peers. The symposium will be the first in a series and will feature presentations on a wide range of topics such as crystallography, material science, and condensed matter physics, with a focus on the application of different X-ray and neutron techniques. The aim is to provide an inclusive and diverse environment to enable networking, discussions and new collaborations among PhDs and Postdocs as well as help sparking new ideas.

Who can benefit: PhD-students and post-doctoral fellows who use, or are interested in using, X-rays and neutrons in their research. The event is physical at LINXS so early-career researchers have the chance to meet and network.

Programme

1 NOvember

16:00–18:00 For those who are interested, Frederik Holm Gjørup (Postdoc at DanMAX) offers the possibility of a tour at DanMAX & MAXIV on November 1st. The tour will start at 16:00 and will take approximately two hours.
