Integrative Structural Biology Working Group Membrane Proteins Member, LINXS Fellow

Urban Johanson has been working with various aspects of membrane proteins for more than 20 years. His research interests span from evolutionary studies of protein families to heterologous over expression and structural determination of integral membrane proteins. Lately homology modeling has also been conducted in his research group to elucidate relations between structure and function in ion channels as well as in aquaporin-like proteins.
