About
Advanced imaging is developing rapidly – from new combinations of imaging modalities and increasingly complex experiments to large datasets, advanced image analysis and emerging applications of machine learning and AI. The AIDA Annual Meeting brings together researchers from across the Nordic imaging community to share the science they are working on today and discuss where the field is heading next.
Over two days, researchers from the AIDA community and beyond will present current research, new methods and emerging scientific questions. The programme will span four interconnected areas:
Modality combinations, measurement principles & science applications
Workflows & core limitations
Image processing, data management & integration
Machine learning & AI in image analysis
Alongside scientific presentations, the meeting will provide space for discussion and networking across disciplines, techniques and facilities. We will explore some of the broader developments shaping advanced imaging – from correlative to integrated approaches, from static to dynamic and time-resolved imaging, from imaging to data science, and from individual laboratories towards increasingly connected research infrastructures.
Whether you develop imaging methods, work with imaging data, apply advanced imaging to scientific questions, or are interested in where the field is going next, we warmly invite you to join the discussion.

The event is free of charge, but please note that we have a no-show fee of 200 SEK to offset the cost of ordered food.
During our events we sometimes take photographs and short film clips to profile our activities. Please let us know if you don’t want to be in any photos/films before we start the event. Some webinars are recorded to be used for educational purposes in the LINXS website.
