Join us for a workshop exploring how Artificial Intelligence is shaping research in Quantum Materials. Discover emerging AI approaches in theory, ab initio calculations, and neutron and synchrotron data analysis. Exchange ideas on new methods, applications and opportunities at the intersection of AI and quantum materials.
When: 7-9 December 2026
Where: LINXS, workshop room on the 3rd floor (The Loop, Rydbergs torg 4, 224 84)
Organisers: The workshop is organized jointly by the LINXS QMat Theme working groups WG1, WG2 and WG3.

About
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is in the news a lot at the moment, with promising applications from programming and mathematics to medical imaging and large language models. We believe that AI will also have a large impact on the field of Quantum Materials, both for experimental and for theoretical physicists. In this workshop, we will explore ongoing development in this direction, covering topics such as neural representations of quantum states, AI-informed ab initio calculations and AI-driven data analysis of neutron and synchrotron experiments.
We expect the event to be of particular interest to early-career theorists and experimentalists, and there will be plenty of time for both planned and informal discussions. The meeting will have a varied programme, including the chance for everyone to talk about their science and to contribute ideas.
