LINXS Hosting - The 5th Nordic/Baltic school of neutron scattering, in Lund

We are proud to announce that the 5th Nordic/Baltic school of neutron scattering will be held at ESS in Lund, arranged by NNSP and SwedNess. This is a preliminary announcement, with a final flyer appearing later this spring.

The dates for the school is 5-16 September 2022, with an optional two-days prequel (3+4 September) to catch up on foundations of Mathematics and Physics for students less familiar with these topics.

The school is in particular directed towards PhD students just starting their project, but also more senior PhD students can attend. Students from the Nordic/Baltic countries will have priority. If there is space available, also applications from post docs and MSc students will be considered.

The teaching will be a mixture of lectures, tutorials, and e-learning, covering the main fields of neutron scattering (diffraction, small-angle scattering, reflectometry, imaging, and spectroscopy), given by Nordic and international experts.

Due to funding from Nordforsk (NNSP) and SSF (SwedNess), there is no participation fee, and transport/accommodation costs will be reimbursed for students enrolled in one of the Nordic countries.

More information and an info flyer will come shortly on the SwedNess website: https://www.swedness.se/
