Learn more about scattering for soft matter, including a hands-on session in the afternoon!
When: 29 September, 2025, 09:00-17:00
Where: LINXS (The Loop, Rydbergs torg 4, 224 84)
Organisers: NanoLund/RheoMAXESS theme at LINXS
About
This workshop will cover neutron and synchrotron X-ray techniques to probe soft matter, including small angle scattering, reflectivity and imaging. We will describe sample environments that allow both static measurements and time-resolved data collection, including combined measurements enabling simultaneous data collection with techniques such as rheology, dynamic mechanical analysis, polarised light imaging and flow in microchannels.
In the afternoon data analysis session, we will present typical analysis software and allow participants to try data fitting with their own, or supplied data (see survey during registration)
