About
How can we link molecular structure to biological functions?
Recent advances in imaging, vibrational spectroscopy, synchrotron science, and artificial intelligence are transforming our ability to investigate the brain across spatial scales. Integrating these complementary approaches enables us to move from descriptive images toward a quantitative, mechanistic understanding of brain organization, pathology, and function.
This two-day international workshop brings together researchers developing and applying state-of-the-art imaging, spectroscopy, multimodal data integration, and AI-driven analysis. The scientific program includes keynote lectures, invited talks, panel discussions, poster presentations, and a visit to MAX IV Laboratory.
The workshop aims to foster interdisciplinary collaborations and explore future directions for multiscale brain imaging, correlative methodologies, and data-driven neuroscience.
Topics include
Multiscale brain imaging
Vibrational spectroscopy (O-PTIR, AFM-IR and related methods)
Correlative imaging and multimodal workflows
AI and machine learning for image and spectral analysis
Synchrotron-based imaging at MAX IV
Applications in neuroscience, neurodegeneration, and biomedical research
