Why join LINXS Young Researchers’ Science Day?

If you are an early career researcher interested in using X-rays and neutrons in your science, then LINXS Young Researchers’ Science Day is for you! With a focus on diffraction, imaging, and spectroscopy, it features science talks, breakout sessions and a poster mingle. Come and network with researchers from different disciplines and learn about new techniques and approaches!

Daniel Sarabi encourages anyone interested in trying out X-rays and neutrons to come to LINXS Young Researchers’ Science Day.

Organised by and for early career researchers on 8th September, the event aims to create an inclusive platform to meet, get inspired, establish networks, and discuss new research ideas. The day also features a career session, to support researchers in taking the next steps in academia or industry.

“With a focus on science relating to soft matter, hard matter and life science, we hope to entice a broad audience of scientists interested in learning more about the potential of using X-rays and neutrons to advance their research”, says Daniel Sarabi, postdoctoral researcher at LINXS, and one of the organisers of the event.

He has previously organised three very successful Young Researchers’ events on life science and especially commends their enthusiastic discussions and relaxed atmosphere. Having events aimed at early career researchers is important as they offer a space for more informal questions and networking, he says.

“Many X-ray and neutron techniques can be quite challenging to learn. With our events, we want to lower that threshold by creating an environment where no question or problem is too small to discuss!”

LINXS Science Day is open for both beginners and more experienced users.

Join the event to:

  • Meet new peers

  • Learn about X-ray and neutron techniques

  • Establish new networks and discuss ideas

  • Present a poster

When: 8 September, 2025. Don’t miss the barbeque on the beautiful LINXS balcony in the afternoon!

Where: at LINXS (LINXS, The Loop, Rydbergs torg 4, Lund), workshop room on the 3rd floor.
