Advanced Imaging and Data Analysis: member of WG 4– Coherent Imaging Methods, LINXS Fellow

Researcher, Science division, MAX IV Laboratory, Sweden.

Mikhail is a physicist working in X-ray microscopy and coherent imaging at MAX IV. His research focuses on ptychography and the X-ray optics needed to advance it, especially multibeam ptychography, which uses arrays of parallel coherent beams to speed up nano-resolution 3D imaging, and cryogenic 3D ptychography of unstained biological samples. In WG4, he aims to connect optics and instrument development directly with data acquisition and reconstruction, strengthening the full imaging chain from hardware to analysis. A central aim of his work is fast 3D imaging at nanoscale resolution, bringing coherent imaging methods to life-science and biomedical users. He also wants to support training for new users and students in coherent imaging. Before coming to Sweden, he worked in research environments in Germany and France. He has received research funding from the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF) and the Röntgen-Ångström Cluster.
