Join us for the kick-off symposium of FunProF, a new LINXS theme focusing on Functional Proteins for the Future. The event will bring together researchers interested in protein function, experiments at synchrotron and neutron facilities, computational approaches, and future developments in the field.

About
FunProF is a new LINXS theme starting in January 2027, focusing on Functional Proteins for the Future.
Understanding protein function requires a broad range of approaches, from sample preparation and experimental design to data analysis and computational methods. Synchrotron radiation and neutron-based techniques offer important opportunities for studying proteins and their functions, while continued developments in experimental and computational approaches are opening new possibilities for the field.
This kick-off symposium will bring together researchers interested in these different aspects of protein research to discuss the workflow of studying protein function using synchrotron radiation and neutrons.
Members of the FunProF Core Group will present their research and scientific interests, providing an introduction to the different research directions within the new theme. The symposium will also provide an opportunity to discuss the overall goals of FunProF and explore possible synergies with other initiatives, networks and research facilities.
Through presentations and discussions, the event aims to identify common interests and opportunities for future collaboration within the FunProF community.
