Science in the Science Village: the LINXS Science Day
The LINXS Science Day (11 June) is a popular one-day meeting which this year will feature two keynote lectures as well as results from the LINXS-funded Themes over a wide range of science including quantum materials, heritage science, semiconductors, life science, chemical biology, materials processing and soft matter.
LINXS Director Trevor Forsyth.
The two keynote lectures are from Ken Andersen, Director at the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) in Grenoble, and Michael Sattler, Professor at Helmholtz Zentrum, in Munich, Germany. There will also be presentations from the early career scientists involved in the young researcher initiatives for hard matter, soft matter, and life sciences.
The day will end with an informal interactive session including posters, and various demonstration sessions including sessions highlighting the Crafford data analysis clinics that have recent gone into action at LINXS.
“It will be a lively day showcasing the breath of science ongoing within the LINXS communities and emphasising the developing potential in the Science Village environment and as well as its powerful international connectivity” says Trevor Forsyth, LINXS Director.
