Pandemics and Alertness member WG2 (Fighting the virus), LINXS Fellow
CoSAXS beamline, MAX IV Laboratory, Lund University, Lund, Sweden
Fátima Herranz completed her PhD at the University of Montpellier in collaboration with the University of Copenhagen, where she focused on studying amyloid processes using small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and chemometric tools. Afterward, she continued her research at the University of Copenhagen, further exploring the structural and kinetic aspects of amyloids. Currently, she is part of the CoSAXS beamline team at MAX IV, where she collaborates on multidisciplinary projects in areas such as lipid nanoparticles, food science, structural biology, and time-resolved studies. Her work involves combining SAXS with complementary spectroscopic techniques to address complex scientific challenges.
